SHIPPING INFORMATION

We use UPS services, however US MAIL services are available to HI, AK, PR & APO/FPO addresses. If you want your package shipped to a P.O. box, you should also choose US MAIL service. PLEASE NOTE: US Postal Service regulations require that products containing alcohol be shipped via surface mail/parcel post.

Before upgrading, check the UPS ground time in transit map from our location found on this page. For most states on the east coast, ground service time in transit is 1, 2 or 3 business days. West Coast 4 to 6 business days. Please note UPS do not count the day of shipping in their transit times. Also UPS does not count or deliver on saturdays, sundays or public holidays. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Due to the alcohol content, Perfume and cologne products are subject to U.S. Federal Air Safety Regulations. We no longer ship products containing alcohol overseas - items such as fragrance oils, lotions etc. can still be shipped to most destinations.

(Please note; international orders can only be shipped to the credit card holder at the credit card billing address - International orders are subject to our ability to verify this information with your bank.)

Returns & Exchanges

If you are unhappy with any item you receive, you may return the item as long as it is in its original, unopened/unused condition within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund. Unless the product was defective leaving us, we do not refund shipping charges. If your order qualified for free shipping - our actual shipping cost will be deducted from refund. A 10% restocking fee may be imposed on cancelled orders.

Fraud Policies and Information

WARNING: We take fraud seriously. It is a crime to purchase products with a false name or with the use of an invalid credit card. (An invalid credit card is one that is created for the sole purpose of purchasing items illegally or using a credit card or its information, via theft or unauthorized use.) It is also illegal to misuse the charge back process to take advantage of merchants. If you are a victim of fraud or if you are a perpetrator, be aware that we will actively pursue and prosecute fraud offenders to the fullest extent of the law.

Fraud offenders not only take advantage of online merchants and consumers, but they also abuse a system, which the Internet community depends on.

Although most fraud offenders use free email services, false names, mail drops, or different bill-to addresses, many are not aware that their web browser transmits a unique Internet address to us which can be used by law enforcement officials to identify and locate them. Currently, both the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service are responsible for investigating all Internet fraud cases. We will also work with cardholders, credit card companies, and local authorities to pursue fraud offenders.

Sending a Check or Money Order

We will honor your personal check or money order. E-mail us at sales@theperfumeplace.com to verify the availability of the item you would like to purchase and a representative will contact you with the total amount for your purchase. Orders with money orders are shipped the day of receipt. We may hold check orders for up to 5 business days for your check to clear before shipping.

How to Order Online

To purchase an item online, simply click the "order" button to the right of the item. When you have finished adding items to your Basket, click "View Ordert" (in the left section of every page of our site). This is the beginning of the ordering process. Make any necessary adjustments to your order in the "Modify Basket" section.

Changing and Deleting an Item

If you wish to buy multiple quantities of an item you have placed in your Basket, go to "Modify Basket" and change the number in the "Quantity" box. Be sure to click the "Modify Cart" button at the bottom of your list of Shopping Basket items to confirm any changes.

If you wish to delete an item in your Shopping Cart, go to "modify cart" and place a zero in the "Quantity" box for the item and click the "Modify Cart" button at the bottom of your list of Shopping Basket items to confirm any changes.

Tax

The Perfume Place dba 2001perfumes.com is a Pennsylvania-based company. State law requires us to collect sales tax of 6% on all orders shipped within Pennsylvania. All orders outside of Pennsylvania are exempt from sales tax. If you are ordering outside of Pennsylvania and sales tax appears on your order, please change the "Shipping" destination on the shopping cart before you submit your order.

Back Orders & Out of Stock

We try our best to keep all items in stock, but in the event an item you request is back ordered or out of stock, we will send you an email to let you know when to expect it or we can offer you the item in a different size or package. You can decide to either have us ship it to you, or you will have the opportunity to change or cancel your order.
